This incredible robe and mannequin were both discovered In Purnon’s attic. The enormous attics were used for storing discarded items. When we arrived they were a treasure trove providing a window into Purnon’s past. I was delighted when I uncovered this remarkable 18th century silk robe in a large armoire full of fabrics. The beautiful 18th century mannequin was sitting under one of the worst sections of Purnon’s leaking roof.
