Purnon’s breathtaking chapel

The chapel remains as breathtaking to us today as it was the first time we laid eyes on her. This photo captured the chapel on the day we arrived. Nervous and excited, I was eager to photograph every corner of the property before anything changed. We could still see the huge stone statues in their niches. Soon after we made the decision to have the statues removed to protect them due to the stability issues of this building. They can be returned when work on this fragile building is finally underway.
