THE STATUE ROOM

In this small museum you can view the two original lions that sat on Purnon’s bridge on the southern side of the château. Today they are sadly very degraded.

You can also see the two saints from Purnon’s chapel. Saint Achard is the patron saint of the family that constructed Château de Purnon. Saint Blaise is a saint venerated by our local village for many centuries and often connected with rural communities.

We can also see the plaster models of the royal busts and one of the casts.
